Background

The Finnish No Hate Speech Movement is a part of the larger Pan-European movement. Started by the Council of Europe, the national coordinator of the campaign is Plan International Finland. The campaign is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The opening ceremony for the Finnish campaign was held in Helsinki on 27 March 2013, and the campaign in this form continued until the end of June 2015.

The national No Hate Speech campaign committee had 49 participants. In addition to two employees and the team members, 50 trained volunteer activists have been working on the campaign.
